Transcription: The occult blood test is a cardboard kit with two paper slides. Two applicators are used to take specimens from different portions of the stool and spread them in the two boxes. The cover is closed and the kit turned over. The flap on the other side is opened and two drops of the developing solution are placed on each box. After 30 to 60 seconds, the results may be red. A blue color indicates a positive result for occult blood.
